On Saturday, February 29th Double Love members met at Sew Hop’d Brewery in Huntley for some
social time and a Brewery Tour to celebrate Double Love’s Father’s Appreciation Annual Event.
A good time was had by all.
You might think the name “Sew Hop’d” is an unusual name for a brewery but during our tour we
learned that it is located in what used to be an old dairy production facility in the early 1900’s,
and it shares its home with UNION SPECIAL, a manufacturer of industrial sewing machines with
a history that dates back to 1881 and which provided much of the innovation that served as the
foundation for the American apparel industry.
