The 2021 MOI Philanthropic was the Owen’s Family. Jennifer has 6 year old twin boys and they live near Rockford. Jennifer’s husband passed away in August 2020. MOI clubs collectively gave Jennifer and her boys $3,010. Jennifer and the boys are doing well. She was at convention and we (Double Love) sat with Jennifer and MMORE (the Rockford club) members at the Friday Night Party.
At convention TWO clubs presented families for consideration as the 2022 MOI Philanthropic.
Double Take told us about The DUECK FAMILY. Alethia and Nelson Dueck were busy with 3 kids ages 6, 4 and 2. Then they learned they were expecting IDENTICAL TRIPLET BOYS. The triplets arrived early at 27 weeks on August 24, 2021 and have been in the NICU at Northwest Community Hospital. As of mid-October Joey was 3 lbs 14 oz, Ollie was 3 lbs 8 oz and Nels was 2 lbs 12 oz. The boys will be having hernia surgeries at near the end of November and will hopefully be home by Thanksgiving! Peoria Mothers of Twins introduced us to The PETTY FAMILY. The Petty’s have 4 boys ages 8, 4 and twins who are 2. Their oldest Maddox has cerebral palsy and has had several surgeries including heart and hip surgeries. He has also been diagnosed with Beckwith Wiedemann Syndrome which is an overgrowth syndrome that can cause childhood cancer. Maddox needs a wheelchair to get around, however the family lives in a split level home. They are needing to put an elevator in their home because they can no longer carry Maddox up and down the stairs. It is not safe for Maddox or his mom and dad.
